Today I swore I heard your voice Neon lights tumbling dice Memories, lost then found A waitress smiled as I turned around I turned around Sparkling eyes, she replied Honey now it’s closing time Have you found what you’re looking for I think I have but I’m not sure She said that’s alright, we all get by I’ve dreamt so long wondering why It’s all been done so many times Same old stories Brand new lines (2x) I’ll think of you When the sun goes down You’ll think of me And the flashing light of our hometown Where have you been all of these years Neon life brought us here Was it worth all that it seemed Pockets full Memories (2x) I’ll think of you When the sun goes down Will you think of me And the flashing light The neon nights of our hometown

Doin' Time 04:48
Don’t need your love Don’t need your kisses You bring me troubles Endless pain Love and heartache All about the same Hearts so cold Tears are blue Nothing but rain since I lost you I ain’t never been so low Hear that lonesome whistle blow Wish I didn’t have to lose you Wish I didn’t have to lose my mind Shackles of love Looks like I’ll be doin’ time Gonna climb the highest mountain Just to see that railroad track Hear that lonesome whistle moan Knowin’ you ain’t coming back Wish I didn’t have to lose you Wish I didn’t have to lose my mind Shackles of love Looks like I’ll be doin’ time

Even the devil gets down sometimes Sorting through all his alibis Nothing new under the sky Trembling hands A torn page The damage done And a worn out play What can you say is it worth the fight Stop giving your heart away You know I want to but I just can’t stay Stop giving your heart away Even the devil gets lost sometimes Caught in a web Truth and lies You don’t have to compromise The queen has saved me from my own soul Checkmate Now there’s no way home Do you believe in paradise Stop giving your heart away You know I want to But I just can’t stay Every story ends the same old way Hearts collide Arrows fly Tears fall then we say goodbye Stop giving your heart away Sunrise shows the doubt in your eyes Like lost hearts pleading Just one more try One last time Stop giving your heart away You know I want to But I just can’t stay Every story ends the same old way Hearts collide Arrows fly Tears fall then we say goodbye Stop giving your heart away Stop giving your heart away Stop giving your heart away

You call me up Just lookin’ for a fight Forked tongue on a blood moon night Twisted truth like I never heard Losing my mind Takin my turn You’d think by now maybe I’d learn Venom and veins poison my nerves Break me down with your lust and lies A drug like you don’t compromise Crawlin’ down the same old path Run me down how can I forget Took some time but now I know Spinnin’ lies Fool’s gold Gotta have your love or nothing at all Like a high speed chase through a dead end wall Crash and burn goin’ up in flames I’m a dead man walkin’ over his grave Pleasure and pain all feel the same Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away Call me crazy Call me crazy Call me crazy I won’t walk away

The darkest hour Diggin deep Dreams of you But I just can’t reach Tell me darlin’ What do they mean Memories intertwined Held as one By separate minds Give me one reason That’s all I need I could pretend You’re in love with me I could be blind Refusing to see Holding to a fantasy Your ways are a mystery Simple times Innocence Said I do No pretense You believed in me Like I do you I could pretend you’re in love with me I could be blind refusing to see Holding on to a fantasy My ways are a mystery Standing in the stream Hopes and dreams pass so easily Living in between A dream and reality Stars are born Planets align Come together And then they shine Plain for the world to see

Rain Fell Down And the creek rose up Pour that poison in my coffee cup Livin’ like a ghost from day to day Rhyme or reason It’s hard to say Runnin’ these roads A young man’s test Silver eagle I-90 West The best of plans they could not see The way things they would really be Oh how I wish You’d let somebody love you Got the gang all tickets for the show last night Homemade whiskey Something just ain’t right Head on down to the Old Saloon Hold on tight cause we’re going to the moon Flying like a jet Wings on my feet Close my eyes Just so I can see Wade on in to the boilin’ stream Take my hand Make me believe Oh how I wish You’d let somebody love you Oh how I wish You’d let somebody show you Six quarts low Diesel runnin’ hot Listen to the show from the parking If you wanna get drunk Sit by the door Cause everybody just want one more Oh how I wish You’d let somebody love you Oh how I wish You’d let somebody show you Oh how I wish You’d let somebody love you ©2023 Cosmico Records

Sometimes when you’re broken Regretting words you’ve spoken No future in the past No point in chasing that Everything’s in motion Tell me what you hear Some choose to live in fear Inspiration all around Eternal here and now Just let time stand still Somewhere in the laughter Somewhere in time and space Some things forgotten Some things cannot erase Somewhere in the distance Something you know is real Everything's in motion Just let time stand still No beginning and there's no end It’s so easy to pretend There’s no hurry And there’s no race Settle into the human pace Somewhere in the laughter Somewhere in time and space Some things forgotten Some things cannot erase Somewhere in the distance Something you know is real Everything's in motion Just let time stand still Time time time time Time time time time Time time time time Let time stand still Time time time time Time time time time Time time time time Sometimes when you're broken Remember words you've spoken Somewhere in the laughter Somewhere in time and space Some things forgotten Some things cannot erase Somewhere in the distance Something you know is real Everything's in motion Just let time stand Somewhere in the laughter Somewhere in time and space Some things forgotten Some things cannot erase Somewhere in the distance Something you know is real Everything's in motion Just let time stand still Let time stand still Let time stand still

Bring it all back Can you remember? Your favorite dress Dog days of summer The cards were all stacked Shadows they whispered You gave me that look Don’t dare surrender Dishes in the sink Return to sender No time to blink Headed for a bender You look good in pink Move like the weather Bettin’ on the house Birds of a feather It’s never too late to take it for granted The blink of an eye something so tragic Take it in stride The seeds that you’ve planted It’s never too late Breaking a habit Just a few more hours In the somber light of day Standin’ on the brink Give it all away I know you’ve got that taste It lingers in your mouth It’ll dissipate Or just burn out It’s never too late to take it for granted The blink of an eye Something so tragic Take it in stride The seeds that you’ve planted It’s never too late for breaking a habit For breaking a habit Breaking a habit It’s never too late to take it for granted The blink of an eye Something so tragic Take it in stride The seeds that you’ve planted It’s never too late It’s never too late to take it for granted The blink of an eye Something so tragic Take it in stride The seeds that you’ve planted It’s never too late For breaking a habit

I’ve been listenin’ to the rhythm of my own drum Back since day one Trying to keep time like everyone I've got my own way of lookin’ at the world It ain’t a big deal Everyone wonders how they should feel I was told there ain't no use in fitting in Now I believe them Playing a game not meant to win Lookin’ at the mountains I see hills to climb Let's take our time Just beyond the clouds There is sunlight Let's take that ride Traveling the road that has no end I guess I’ve never been one for the easy way I could not stay Know that I loved you then like I love you today Been searchin’ for the answers Since I was young That can’t be undone The only way to learn Was to be burned Lookin’ at the mountains I see hills to climb Let’s take our time All the way down Standing by the ocean I see boats to sail We might meet a whale Riding a wave Just beyond the clouds There is sunlight Let’s take that ride Traveling the road that has no end La da da dee la da da da La da dee da da La da da dee la da dee da La da da dee da Someday you’ll look back and wonder Who did you serve? Did they deserve? Then you’ll look back and you’ll realize Every step led to where you were Lookin’ at the mountains I see hills to climb Let’s take our time Just beyond the clouds There is sunlight Let’s take that ride Traveling the road that has no end Traveling the road that has no end Traveling the road that has no end

about

“Cosmico” is dedicated to my dad Frederic Abdon Contreras. He always found a way and worked hard to keep me connected to the piano and inspired through musical education. His presence during this project was palpable, even from the other side. Thanks for believing in me dad!
